Reviews

My husband is registered blind but still has a little sight and is diagnosed with dementia . We first got the echo show , a large 15 inch screen, which made it possible for my husband to see and talk with our son who is living in another part of the country and also in the USA. This was very reassuring for both of us and made such a difference from trying to peer at a mobile phone screen. It also meant our son could call anytime and once he said "hello Dad" the monitor was fired up to see and speak to him. My husband didn't need to do anything. It has also been very useful for me the carer. When I am out I can call and see how my husband is doing while talking to him - what an amazing reassurance that has given me! We also set a timer on it reminding him of when he needed to eat as this is something he forgets to do. And quickly he got used to saying Alexa play radio 4, his favourite radio station. What a difference it made when the phone rang and no more fiddling with a radio volume button before answering - just say "Alexa, stop"

The Grandchilden drop in to say goodnight and have a bed time story. It's absolutely terrific. Set up was helped with basic instructions. It makes such a difference, I can add things to my calendar, shopping list and reminders. I don't have to get my paper calendar or phone out to add things, I can do it straight away on this. It's like a friend. It really changed things for me. It's not nice having to rely on other people so if you can take that stress away from them that's great. They can drop in and check you are okay. It's really important for my family to know I'm okay.
